Embrace emerging science - Plant Pathologist

A Plant Pathologist with the Plant Genetic Resource Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR, Edmund Osei Owusu, says collection and preservation of more genetic resources will enable Scientists to identify species, their traits and weather tolerance as well as nutritional values. 

Through this, scientists can cross genes to enhance quality. 

Mr. Owusu in an interview with Joyce Gyekye at the opening of a four-day international workshop on conservation of Genetic Resources through improved technology said emerging scientific methods of improving food security should be embraced.
