Police, Military clash shameful – Security Expert

Executive Director, Africa Centre for Security and Counter Terrorism, Emmanuel Kotin, says what happened in Tamale between the Police and Military is shameful, unfortunate and creates a bad image for the country's security service.  

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Kotin said some of these incidents happen because of lack of understanding of the Security Act by personnel as well as the roles they play. 

He said proper procedures should have been followed in the arrest of the Military officer. 

Mr. Kotin said the incident could create some anxiety among the people in Tamale.
