UK Gov’t support 20 African countries to develop rural roads

The UK government is committing 28 million pounds into the improvement of rural roads in 20 African countries including Ghana.

These African countries have signed up to the African Community Access Partnership, AfCAP, which seeks to ensure that roads in deprived communities are motorable. 

At the opening of a three- day meeting in Accra to deliberate on strategic issues concerning rural roads, a Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Anthony Karbo, said the accessibility of socio-economic services in rural areas remains a challenge to all.
