Government 'working' to pay Cuban doctors' allowances - MOH Ghanaian doctors posted to the Northern Region are reported to be under performing or refusing postings to remote areas, thereby affecting healthcare delivery there. This has led to the reliance on Cuban doctors who are always willing to work anywhere in the region. GBC's Regional Correspondent, Murtala Issah revealed this on our Current Affairs Programme 'Behind the News' following reports that Cuban doctors in the country are not being paid their allowances. He said a total of 10 Cuban doctors in the three regions of the north have not received their allowances. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry of Health (MOH), Robert Cudjoe, said the government is aware of the situation and will do everything possible to resolve it. He however, called on Ghanaians to bear with government as it strives to take care of the issue. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
