The Ghanaian Times writes on infection trend of HIV/AIDS especially among the youth. The paper says the statistics is worrying and the scary part is that Ghana has a very high youthful population. It warns that without effective public education the youth would engage in activities that can expose them to the disease. The Times believes that with technical and financial assistance the country has received over the years to fight HIV/AIDS, it is possible for it to fight the rest of the battle unaided. Though it may be tough, the best way to overcome the spread of the disease is to control the innate desire that is susceptible to the infection. 

The Daily Graphic discusses COCOBOD's initiative to increase cocoa yield to One Million tonnes. It says the programme has contributed to reducing unemployment in the country. The paper also commends the government and especially COCOBOD for the measures put in place and hopes that such programmes will not be discontinued when there is a change of administration. The Daily Graphic says with that kind of spirit, Ghana can progress to the level of development it desires.
