Seat of Government to be referred to as Jubilee House- Presidency The Seat of Government at Kanda in Accra is to be referred to as Jubilee House, that's according to a statement issued from the presidency. The edifice built by the Kufour administration serves as the residence and office of the President. In 2008, the Kuffuor administration decided to build a new edifice for the presidency and take the seat of government from Osu Cattle which was the seat of government for years. The then administration named it Jubilee House to reflect Ghana's Golden Jubilee Celebration. The Mills Government renamed the building Flagstaff House. The name given to the seat of government by the British Gold Coast Government to reflect the glories of Ghana's GOLD Coast past. This morning the name; "Jubilee House" is boldly inscribed on the walls of the seat of government replacing the old Flagstaff House.
