Zoomlion blamed for poor sanitation situation in Accra The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Kofi Adda, has blamed Zoomlion for the poor sanitation situation in Accra and the country at large. The Minister said this is because the company fail to properly collect and dispose off rubbish after cleaning. Speaking at a stakeholders forum on sanitation in Accra, Mr Adda said government is working towards creating a National Sanitation Authority and a Sanitation fund to address the issue. In a related development, the Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare, is calling for the introduction of stiffer punishment for individuals and groups found in dirty surroundings as well as those who litter the environment. Dr Nsiah-Asare noted that the current sanitation situation could trigger an outbreak of Cholera especially as the rainy season draws near.
