Setting aside a day to acknowledge the immense of Women inadequate- Amissah-Arthur  

Former Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has called for more time to be dedicated to issues of women so that they can be liberated from socio-cultural practices which have for years impeded their progress.  


He said setting aside a day to acknowledge the immense contribution of women is inadequate.


In an interview with journalists at his office in Accra, Mr. Amissah-Arthur, said there must be a deliberate policy to guide the education of woman from childhood to adulthood to prevent them from being married off at the tender age so that they climb higher the education ladder.
