CJ swears in eleven new magistrates The Chief Justice (CJ), Justice Sophia Akuffo, has asked district assemblies to put in place better structures to accommodate magistrates in the execution of their duties in the districts. She said per section 12 (3) (b) of the local government Act 2016, Act 936 the district assemblies have the responsibility to ensure access to courts in the districts for the promotion of justice. Speaking at the swearing in of eleven magistrates in Accra, the Chief Justice urged them to uphold integrity and strive to bear the responsibility as protectors of human rights.
