Kingmakers urged to resist tendencies that can influence selection

President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Soglo Alloh has urged kingmakers in the Region to resist negative tendencies that influence the selection of chiefs and cause chieftaincy disputes in their areas.

He bemoaned the spate of conflicts that have destroyed lives and property in the country through succession disputes, saying it is negatively affecting the dignity and relevance of the chieftaincy institution in the country.

Nana Soglo Alloh who is also the Paramount Chief of Likpe Traditional Area was speaking at the First General meeting of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs in Ho.
