GII welcomes call by Auditor General to block salaries of Institutions found guilty of misappropriating funds

Former Executive Director of the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), an anti-corruption organization, Vitus Azeem has lauded the decision by the Auditor General to block salaries and surcharge Public Servants found culpable of misappropriating funds. 

In his view, such a drastic approach will make people sit up in the discharge of their duties. 

In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, Mr. Azeem, said blocking the salaries of corrupt Public officials is not enough and suggested tougher measures.
