Political Scientist describes Jacob Zuma's exit as good omen for South Africa

The Acting Head, Political Science Department of   University of Cape Coast, Dr. Braimah Awaisu, says South Africa's President Jacob Zuma's resignation will increase investor confidence and promote peace in that country.

Speaking to Cynthia Boateng, Dr. Awaisu, said Mr. Zuma took the right decision considering the pressure being mounted on him by his own party.

He cautioned African leaders to take a cue from President Zuma's experience and respect the power of the people they serve.

Meanwhile, Security Expert, Irbard Ibrahim says African countries must ensure that their leaders exit in a dignified manner without being humiliated.

Giving the political implication of the resignation of the South African President, Jacob Zuma, Mr Ibrahim said it is an opportunity for the country to open a new chapter in its political history.
