Christine Churcher Chairs Newly Reconstituted Ghana Gas Board


Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko on Monday sworn in the newly reconstituted Ghana Gas Board.

The board which was inaugurated, has a veteran politician and renowned educationist, Mrs. Christine Churcher, as its Chairperson.

Other members of the Board are; Dr. Ben K.D. Asante, Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, Stephen Sumani Nayina, Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli, Abraham Ossei Aidooh, Delphine Dogbegah, Nana Owusu Ansah Ababio and the Dufia of Kedzi, Togbbui Joachim Acolatse V.

Mr. Boakye Agyarko, at a short ceremony to introduce the new Board of Directors, tasked them to help develop Ghana National Gas Company to become a world class gas company that should operate on sound business model that generates sustainable revenue stream.

He also assigned the new Board to ensure the execution of Gas Sales Agreements (GSAs) and processing as well as transportation agreements are properly executed.

Also, they must ensure that Ghana establishes a viable community relations with all the project affected communities.
