National Best Teachers awards ceremony held in Koforidua, Eastern Region President Akufo-Addo has acknowledged the contribution of teachers to the eradication of poverty and the overall economic sustainability of the country. To this end, the welfare of teachers will be a top priority of government. In a message at the 23rd Best Teachers Awards ceremony in Koforidua in the Eastern Region, President Akufo-Addo who was represented by the Minister for Planning, Prof. Gyan Bafour said workers freedom to operate is non-negotiable and this is why the appropriate Teaching environment coupled with timely logistics will be made available at all levels of education. Minister of State in Charge of Tertiary Education, Prof. Kwesi Yankah reminded teachers of their critical role in shaping the lives of students in their care.
