Labour Expert says class action suit filed by ECG workers is needless A Labour Expert and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Austin Gamey says the class action suit filed by workers of ECG is needless. He said their grievances can easily be resolved without going to court. The workers are up in arms against government over the concession arrangement. They claim, by being moved from ECG to another company, they are entitled to severance payment. But Mr. Gamey said that can only arise if the workers will be made worse off. He dispelled the notion that by simply moving workers from one company to another calls for payment of severance. Mr. Gamey indicated that it is wrong for government to engage workers of ECG individually on this matter. About one thousand workers of ECG Tuesday filed an action against government; one of their reliefs is to stop government from engaging workers on individual basis. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
