Denkyira Development Association Expresses Shock At Army Captain Lynching The Executives and members of the Denkyira Development Association have expressed shock at the lynching of an Army Captain by some residents of Denkyira Obuasi. In a statement, the association said nothing can justify the barbaric act and condemns the action. The statement calls on the Ghana Police Service to investigate the matter swiftly and bring the perpetrators to book. It also cautions the Ministry for the Interior and the Military High Command to call the Army personnel who have reportedly stormed the town, assaulting everybody in sight, to order. The statement also calls on Chiefs and residents of the area to cooperate with the investigations by the Ghana Police Service. The association calls for calm and appeals to the public particularly the media to be circumspect in their reportage in order not to heighten tensions further. gbconline
