West Africa facing problems because of poor leadership- President Akufo Addo

President Akufo Addo has blamed poor leadership for the problems facing West Africa. 

He said the problems of the subregion require strong political will from the various Heads of State to champion the process of West African Integration. 

President Akufo Addo who was speaking at a Regional Integration Forum in Accra, noted that on paper West Africa has the finest policy but poor leadership and lack of political will is hampering its implementation. 

He said it is in the economic interest of Ghana  for the process of West African integration to succeed since it will  empower Ghanaian businesses to be competitive on the ECOWAS market.
