DR Congo approves use of experimental Ebola vaccine

The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has given the go-ahead for an experimental Ebola vaccine to be used in the country.

The country is currently battling an outbreak in the north-east which has killed four people so far. 

The vaccine, rVSV-ZEBOV, does not yet have a license but in a paper published at the end of last year, it was described to be highly effective.
