Anti-Corruption Demo Dubbed:"FABEWOSO" Hits Accra Thousands of protestors are marching through some principal streets of Accra, (Farisco Traffic Light, through to TUC) on their way to the offices of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to press for action against those caught in corrupt practices. The demonstrators clad in red and black with placards are calling for investigation and prosecution of persons alleged to have been involved in corrupt acts in various reports especially, the Auditor General’s report. The host of an Accra-based Radio, “Adom FM’s” morning show ‘Dwaso Nsɛm’ Captain Smart is leading the demonstration dubbed ‘Fabɛwoso’ to raise awareness about the high levels of corruption in Ghana. “Corruption has taken over this country; from the Presidency down to the Labourer.... Virtually everybody in this country thinks that corruption is now normal,” said Captain Smart. The peaceful demonstration which started from the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah interchange has the full support and clearance of the Greater Accra Police Command.
