US, 3 other countries to aid Ghana develop its nuclear programme Ghana's dream of developing a nuclear plant is taking shape with the completion of phase one of the Nuclear Power Programme. The country also received positive comments from the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, after it reviewed the phase one of the project. This has attracted the US, Russia, China and South Korea expressing interest to assist the country to successfully develop the nuclear programme. The Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko, announced this when he received the report on the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review Phase One in Accra. He noted that currently steps are being taken to identify a suitable site for the first Nuclear Power Plant. GBC
