Galamsey Operations In Atiwa Forest Destroy Underground Cables

The effects of illegal mining or galamsey are widespread than anticipated.

The underground cables of Ghana Grid Company, GRIDCO within the Atiwa Forest are being destroyed by this illegal activity.

The Chief Executive Officer of GRIDCO, William Amuna during an interaction with the media at the Company's Head Office near Tema said the galamsey menace threatens the company's operations in the Eastern Region.
