Governance Expert wants administrative reasons rather than political reasons for current dismissals in state institutions

A Governance Expert, Fred Awaah says there must be administrative reasons rather than political reasons for the current dismissals going on in some state agencies.

He however said certain positions must not be politicised, or else fear and panic will be created in the Public and Civil Service whenever there is a change of government. 

A Labour and ADR Counsultant, Ben Arthur, says though the current layoffs in some state institutions are not the best, no court in the country can force an employee on any employer.

He therefore asked organized labour to work to change aspects of the Labour Law which is work unfriendly.

Mr. Arthur however said some recruitment by the previous government was not properly done hence the need to sanitise the system with proper recruitments.
