Scuffle as task force decongest Tamale metropolis

The decongestion exercise going on in Tamale, Wednesday morning turned into blows as two young men engaged a police officer in fisticuffs. 

The incident took place between the Savelugu lorry station and the STC yard, as the metropolitan task force started removing containers in the area. 

The intervention of the military brought an end to the scuffle and the task force continued with its work. 

It is the third day of the decongestion exercise and the metropolis is enjoying a new lease of life. 

The air in the atmosphere is fresher. Bicycle and pedestrian lanes have been freed and the streets rid of hawkers
