Ghana prepared to handle Ebola outbreak – GHS

The Ghana Health Service says the nation is prepared to handle Ebola cases in case of an outbreak in the country. 
 
Speaking to Radio Ghana following a re-surfacing of the deadly disease in D.R Congo, the Deputy Director of Public Health and Head of Disease Surveillance of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Asiedu Bekoe said screening is still ongoing at the country's entry points. 

He however regrets that all the three Ebola treatments centres have not been completed as well as limited supply of personal protective equipment. 
 
With the onset of the rains there are fears that there could be an outbreak of cholera. But Dr. Bekoe said adequate measures have been put in place to contain the situation.
