Accra: Head porters appeal for shelter Head porters popularly known as Kayayei have appealed to government to provide them shelter. They said while they wait for government to provide permanent accommodation, it should in the meantime provide them makeshift structures as the rains set in. They said their situation does not only give them sleepless nights, but has also affected their health. The Kayayei made the appeal when the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba joined them to celebrate 2017 Mother's Day in Accra. GBC
