ECOWAS Commission consoles Liberia over deaths of nine persons in Sinoe County The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS has expressed great sadness at the sudden death of nine people which occurred in the Sinoe County, Liberia. According to available reports, the deceased succumbed to a brief and yet to be diagnosed illness. "We commend the swiftness and efficiency by which the Liberian authorities responded to the situation and particularly laud the Liberian public health management mechanism for its exemplary professionalism in tackling the present circumstance." These were contained in a statement issued by the ECOWAS Commission and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC) in Accra, today, Wednesday, May 3, 2017. "ECOWAS Commission expresses its deep condolences to the families of the departed and reiterates its solidarity to the Government and people of Liberia at this very trying period." The statement concluded. GBC
