JB Danquah Adu's Murder: Trial of accused persons officially begins 

The accused persons in the alleged murder of the former Abuakwa North MP appeared before an Accra high Court today (April, 28).  

Lawyer for the accused persons, Augustine Obour was, however, not in Court. 

When the presiding judge, Justice Lorence Mensah asked of him from the accused persons, the first accused, Daniel Asiedu said he has not seen his lawyer for some time now and that the last time he set his eyes on him was at the committal process at the district court. 

The judge said that the process at the district court is separate and distinct from the trial which is now at the High Court. 

He told them that it is crucial and important for them to get a lawyer to represent them in the case. 

The second accused person, Vincent Bosso told the Court that he does not know anything about the case. He said he was in his abode when the police arrested him. 

The judge told him to hold on because he would have all the time to tell the Court about his innocence or otherwise.  

Justice Mensah further told the Court that the prosecutor assigned to the case has written to inform the Court of her absence since State Attorneys are undergoing training. 

The case has been adjourned to the 5th of May.
