NCCE begins constitution week 

The National Commission For Civic Education, NCCE, begins its constitution week Friday, April 28 with an awakening to Ghanaians to rekindle the spirit of patriotism, self-help and community building.
 
Chairman of the Commission, Madam Josephine Nkrumah said all citizens are beneficiaries of the work of the NCCE, and it behoves all to help empower the commission to remain relevant. 

She was grateful to the Ministry of Finance for increasing the NCCE’s budget allocation for the year. 

While thanking donor partners, Madam Nkrumah called on corporate Ghana to also pitch in to support the Commission to make Ghana a better place for future generations.
 
On its collaboration with the media in the fight against galamsey, Madam Nkrumah said the NCCE is at the forefront of gathering signatures to push the agenda against illegal mining.

She said protecting the environment is not the responsibility of a political party, but the mandate of every Ghanaian to bequeath a protected environment to the next generation as the forbears did.
