First 100 Days: President Akufo-Addo has been excellent - Views  

A Senior Lecturer at the University for Professional Studies, Fred Awaah, has cautioned President Akufo-Addo to adopt a non-partisan approach to his governance style.  

He said the President for the first one hundred (100) days in office has exhibited some good traits of responsible leadership, a departure from this to favour only those of his political lineage can be devastating for national cohesion.  

Speaking on our Current Affairs Programme “FOCUS" which discussed ''One Hundred Days of Change, the Good and the Bad'', Mr. Awaah said but for the Delta Force and Invincible Force melee, President Akufo-Addo has been excellent.

Mr. Awaah said, he will profess a stiffer punishment for the 13 members of the Delta Force who escaped from lawful custody than what the court handed them.  

He said the political parties must take the initiative to disband the vigilante groups.

A governance expert who joined the discussion via phone, Professor Baffour Agyemang Duah, said President Akufo-Addo's 100 days in office has been good.  

He said the change in political leadership, has rejuvenated some sort of hope in the populace. 

Professor Agyemang Duah said the 50 percent reduction in fertilizer prices among other things the government has initiated is a sign for more to come.

On activities of vigilante groups, Professor Baffour Agyemang Duah called on all the political parties to rethink harbouring such groups within their organisations.
