Acute water shortage hits Yendi Municipality

There are reports of acute water shortage in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region. 

Residents complain that taps have not been flowing for a month now and they have had to rely on nearby reservoirs or water tankers for water. 

Residents are calling on government to make use of the river Dakar, which is the main source of water for the area, and channel tap water through it for the people's consumption.

Co-ordinator of Corruption Control Network, Alhassan Wemah described the situation there to GBC's Radio Ghana.
