Borussia Dortmund football team bus hit by explosions

City of Dortmund Police in Germany has initiated an investigation into explosion attacks that hit the Borussia Dortmund football team bus.

Head of the Dortmund police said it was a targeted attack on the team.

He said a letter found near the scene is being examined as part of the investigation.

The bus carrying the German Borussia Dortmund football team was hit with three explosions on their way to the Signal Iduna stadium for a Champions League quarter-final game against the French side AS Monaco.
