The Daily Graphic says the frequent fire in commercial buildings and markets have become a serious threat to the country's fragile economy. The paper says the Kumasi Central market has become synonymous with fire outbreaks. It says apart from the Kaneshie Market, almost all the markets in the country have experienced fire outbreaks. The Graphic says major causes of market fires is overloading of sockets and illegal wiring for commercial purpose. The paper recommends that the Ghana National Fire Service should constantly engage leaders of market associations to train them on how to prevent and manage fire outbreaks at markets. 
           
The Ghanaian Times is happy that at long last, before the rise of the country's legislative body for the Easter break, the MP for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, rendered an unqualified apology to Parliament, since he did not have any evidence to back his bribery allegation against his colleague MPs. According to the paper, the Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, is also expected to forgive the Bawku Central legislator who was asked "to go and sin no more." The Times is of the view that no matter the level of provocation, this incidence should never happen again. 

Daily Heritage says there is palpable evidence that marijuana use has led to the caging of many youth in psychiatric hospitals. Many others are also roaming on the streets and refuse dump mad. According to the paper, the views from some members of the public that "wee" should be legalised so that state authorities could control it is untenable. The Heritage believes that legalising an illegality is not a prudent way of handling national issues.
