Pressure mounts on Russia to review its relationship with Syria

There is mounting international pressure on Russia  to re- evaluate its support for the Syrian leader Bashar -al -Assad,  following last week's apparent chemical attack.

Foreign ministers from the G7 meeting in Italy are due to finalise a common position to present to Russia.
 
Earlier, the British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson said further sanctions are being considered.
 
The US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson will also meet officials from allied Middle Eastern countries before heading to Moscow.
