Upper West Concerned Teachers To Vote Against Gov't Over Allowance Default


Members of the Coalition of Concern Teachers Ghana in the Upper West Region have threatened to vote against the government in this year’s elections if it fails to pay their salary arrears which has been pending for the past three years. 

Addressing a news conference at Wa the Regional Chairman of the Coalition Abdalah Alhassan Salifu said in spite of the promises and pledges made by the government to address their grievances within weeks, government has failed to do so in almost six months. 

Mr. Salifu said members of the Coalition have to live in pain and depend on others to survive because their salaries have failed to come.

The Regional Chairman said if government fails to pay the salary arrears before December elections members of the Coalition should vote against the government.
