The Daily Graphic is asking political parties to name and shame and dissociate themselves from individuals who make derogatory comments against others on the campaign platform. The paper says to ensure clean elections, the campaigns must be done on issues and not on undesirable comments that can engender strife and disturb the peace of the country. While urging the leadership of all the parties not to stay silent when any of their members make vitriolic statements, it also asks that such individuals, no matter their standing in society is punished to ensure the rule of law and maintain the peace of country. 

The Ghanaian Times sides with those who believe health walks should not be banned. The paper is however a bit apprehensive about the commitment of the police to carry out their threat to deal with troublemakers. The Times is worried that the police may not show zeal in dealing with politically motivated violence as numerous attacks and conflicts have been committed by supporters of these same political parties, but the police have not been able to deal with them mercilessly as promised. The paper therefore, looks forward to the day the police will crack the whip to bring any unruly political party supporters to book as a way of maintaining peace, law and order in the country.
