"My Government Will Not Discriminate In Terms Of Dev’t" – Prez Mahama


President John Dramani Mahama has called on residents in the Eastern part of the Upper East Region to renew his mandate to enable him complete all the developmental projects his outfit has started in the area.  

According to him, the eastern part of the region which consist of Bawku, Zebilla, Garu, Tempane, Pusiga, Binduri and Nabdam constituencies have received fair share of development under his watch. 

He mentioned the construction of boreholes, road networks, building of CHPs compounds, and schools as some of the developmental projects being undertaken in the area. 

President Mahama made the disclosure when he addressed thousands of the NDC supporters at separate rallies in the area. 

He said the construction of the much talked about Bolgatanga-Bawku road has kick-started and will complete as scheduled. 

He noted that his led administration does not discriminate against anybody, hence the equitable distribution of the national cake. 

The President said he is a government for all Ghanaians and will forever remain loyal and faithful for Ghanaians in all his endeavours. 

He noted that as the incumbent President of the country, adequate measures have been put in place to ensure free and fair elections in the upcoming polls. 

He said all the security agencies in the country have been adequately resourced to enable them execute their duties as expected. 

The President stated that his government has also given the EC the necessary support in terms of finance and logistics to conduct the elections in a transparent manner. 

He said the construction of the Tamne dam in Garu delayed because of the rains but now that the rains had receded, the contractor will soon move to site. 

He said he used his four years term as president of this country to lay a solid foundation and when his mandate is renewed, he is going to focus on economic empowerment. 

This, he explained, will create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the country. 

He said he has directed the leadership of the Youth Employment Agency, YEA, to recruit additional four thousand youth into the various models of the agency next year. 

According to him, this move will help reduce the unemployment situation in the country. 

The President after addressing the NDC party supporters in the Binduri constituency, commissioned the new assembly block for the Binduri district. 

The NDC presidential candidate took the supporters through the voting process and reminded them of his position on the ballot paper.  

The president was accompanied by the National organizer of the NDC, Kofi Adams and the Campaign Co-ordinator of the party, Joyce Bawa Mogtari who doubles as the deputy minister of transport. 

Also present was the Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah among other party stalwarts. 

Earlier, President Mahama and his team inspected the on-going expansion work of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital which is 95 percent complete.
