GHS Intensifies Campaign To Prevent Cholera Outbreak In WR

The Western Regional Office of the Public Health Division of the Ghana Health Service has intensified campaign and public education on cholera, it's causes, modes of transmission, effects and prevention.

 High risk districts, including Wassa East, Shama and Sekondi are receiving greater surveillance.

This follows the announcement of yet another outbreak of cholera by the Ghana Health Service in the Central Region which is barely a two hour drive from the Western Region.

Already, four cases have been recorded in the Ahanta East district with two testing positive for cholera.
