2016 Elections: EC starts deployment of logistics to regional offices despite legal tussle

The Electoral Commission has started the deployment of its logistics to regional offices.  

Training of technical staff has also started despite the many legal tussles it is faced with.  

According to the Deputy Communications Officer of the Commission, Yussif Ayuba, the printing of ballot papers for the parliamentary slot will be done next week.  

He insists that the Commission is on course to organize the elections.  

Mr. Ayuba, said the lack of understanding on the workings of the EC has led many people to believe that the  EC is intentionally delaying the election.  

He said the EC is committed to ensure a free, credible and fair election this year.
