Supreme Court to hear EC, PPP review November 4

The Supreme Court will tomorrow hear the application by the EC seeking to quash the High Court's decision to allow the Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive Peoples' Party to amend his nomination form to be able to contest in the December polls.

The Court had earlier granted an abridgement of time and ordered parties to file their statements of case, for hearing to commence.

Meanwhile, the High Court will also be hearing the cases of the NDP and the PNC, challenging the disqualification of their flagbearer by the EC Friday.
 
Last Tuesday, High Court Judge, Justice Eric Kyei Baffour ordered the disqualified flagbearer of the NDP, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and the Electoral Commission to file their written submissions by Thursday and return to the court on Friday to give oral submissions. 

While Presiding Judge over the PNC case, Justice Novisi Afua Aryene  directed the Party's flagbearer Dr Edward Mahama, to file the processes within 48 hours after  granting the plea for an abridgement of time at the instance of the PNC.
