Wa All Stars begin Northern Ghana trophy tour

Wa All Stars' northern Ghana trophy tour begins Tuesday in Tamale with the champions set to interact with fans and play exhibition games.

The team will meet up with traditional rulers and other dignitaries while on the tour. The Blues were crowned champions of Ghana for a record first-time in September 2016, after dislodging the league's serial winners.

Wa All Stars, thus became the first club from northern Ghana to annex the top flight competition. A 25-member squad are on the tour which will give fans across northern part of the country a glimpse of the title after completing the first stop in Wa last month.

The champions will play two exhibition games during the tour with their first fixture against a Tamale select-side on Wednesday. On Thursday, Wa All Stars will follow up with game against newly promoted Premier League side, Bolga All Stars to wrap up their tour.
