CHRAJ receives GCPP’s petition over Rawlings' $2m from Abacha

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, CHAJ, has acknowledge receipt of a petition brought before it by the Great Consolidated Popular Party, GCPP seeking formal investigation into allegations that former President J.J Rawlings received about $2 million from former Nigeria leader Sani Abacha. 

A letter signed by the registrar of CHRAJ, Daniel Afetsi, said the petition is receiving the necessary and attention. 

Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the GCPP, Dr Henry Hebert Lartey has expressed satisfaction at the quick response by CHRAJ. 

He told GBC’s George Asekere that when elected the GCPP will fight corruption using the top down approach.
