NPP to launch Manifesto on Sunday, October 9 The New Patriotic Party NPP, will on Sunday October 9 launch its manifesto ahead of the December General election. The launch of the manifesto, which according to the party contains the solutions to the myriad of problems facing the country will be presided over by former President John Agyekum Kufuor. The launch is expected to be followed by a rally. The rally will be preceded by a stakeholder briefing of the manifesto to Civil Society and Identifiable Groups, Embassies and other Missions and Political Parties at the Unique Events Palace, Trade Fair Center at 12pm. In a related development, the party says with effective from Monday, October 3, 2016, the Communications Directorate of the Party will accept applications from Media Houses to be accredited for the coverage of its Manifesto Launch slated for Sunday, October, 9, 2016 at the Trade Fair Centre, Accra. A statement signed the Deputy Communications Director, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC), said Media houses will be required to provide names of personnel to be accredited. According to the statement, closing date for applications is Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
