Call for new Children's Hospital The need to put up a modern state facility to attend to mother, and particularly child health has become more critical as the existing Princess Marie Louise Children's Hospital, is unduly over stretched, having operated for 90 years with limited resources. Speaking on our Current Affairs Programme, ‘FOCUS,’ a Paediatrician at the Hospital, Dr. Margaret Neizer, noted that the Hospital is constrained by space and lacks ultra-modern health equipment and critical staff to attend to the emerging health needs of children. The Greater Accra Regional Director of Health, Dr. Linda Van Otoo, touched on some immediate interventions but called for support for a new hospital to attend to the pressing health needs of children.
