President Mahama Inaugurates Adobewora Community Day Senior High School In Kumasi

The President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated the newly built Adobewora Community Day Senior High School in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region. 

The school has twenty-four classrooms, eight offices and sixteen places of convenience. 

Addressing the chiefs and people of the area, President Mahama reiterated that his administration as part of measures to upgrade the standard of education will continue to expand Senior High schools in the country. 

He said without good education, the country cannot improve on its human resource base. 

President Mahama said his government will fulfil its promise to the nation by expanding and upgrading senior high school education which he made in his 2012 campaign. 

He said the NDC government has so far constructed one hundred and twenty-three community day Senior High schools across the country. 

It has also procured text books for all public schools in the country. 

President Mahama said with support from the IMF his administration will expand and improve on the educational system. 

A member of the Adobewora community, Stephen Yeboah who spoke on behalf of the chiefs thanked the NDC administration for the facility.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has inspected ongoing works on the Kumasi Military Hospital at Afari in the Ashanti Region. 

It is a five hundred bed facility and will be the second biggest after 37 Military Hospital. 

The multi-million dollar project is expected to reduce pressure on the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. 

President Mahama was hopeful about the inauguration of the facility by the end of the year. 

He said apart from attending to the health needs of citizens it has also provided jobs.

The Queen Mother of Nkawie expressed gratitude to government for such a facility.
