The Daily Graphic makes a clarion call on all to stand up against intemperate language as it can push the country into chaos as was experienced in Rwanda, Liberia and Sierra Leone. It says there is the need to encourage more dialogue in the country's political discourse and eschew violence in all endeavours. The Graphic says while it does not agree with any attempt to gag people's right to free expression, it condemns in no uncertain terms hate speech and voices that undermine the personal reputation of compatriots no matter how opposed such persons maybe to the political beliefs and persuasions of others. The paper says all must never forget the adage which says "the bad that war can do, peace can never equal in good."    

The Ghanaian Times appreciates the resolve by the Ghana Armed Forces to deal with any disturbances before during and after the elections. It says the Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Marshall Michael Sampson-Oje in answering questions from journalists on his maiden visit to the headquarters of the Ghana Journalist Association was emphatic that the 2016 general election would not descend into chaos. The paper is of the view that the assurance given by the CDS should be welcomed  by all peace loving Ghanaians who truly want to see the country as one no matter the results of the November 7, election.
