ECG begins disconnecting indebted state institutions The Local Union of ECG, is carrying out its threat of disconnecting state institutions indebted to the company. Yesterday the company cut power supply to some institutions including the newly built Cape Coast Sports Stadium. The Regional Council Chairman of the Public Utility Workers Union of ECG, Enoch Paul Hayes says management of the stadium owes it more than 719,000 Ghana cedis explaining that they had failed to pay their bills since construction began. Parts of the Cape Coast University and University of Education, Winneba have also been disconnected. Mr. Hayes said they will not rest until all debtors pay their bills. GBC
