Imported medicines meet international standards- GSA The Ghana Standards Authority, says all medicines that get into the country through the appropriate channel have satisfied International standards and are safe for consumption. The Authority says sub-standard medicines in the system got in through unapproved routes due to the porous nature of Ghana's borders with other countries. The Director of Public Affairs at the authority, Dr. Kofi Amponsah Bediako, told Radio Ghana in Accra that the Standards Authority in collaboration with the Food and Drugs Authority occasionally go round to check on sub-standard medicines and those found are destroyed publicly.
