Hong Kong lawmaker charged with misconduct

A prominent Hong Kong pro-democracy lawmaker has been charged for failing to declare a donation from a well-known anti-China media tycoon.  

Leung Kwok-hung, known as Long Hair, is accused of taking 32 thousand US dollars from Jimmy Lai, founder of the Apple Daily Newspaper. 

The paper is well-known for being critical of Beijing. 

Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption charged Leung, 60, with one count of misconduct in public office, a move Leung believes is political.
