The Daily Graphic describes as unprecedented the early release of the 2016/2017 National Service postings. The paper believes with the development, common challenges such as lack of accommodation, limited space at establishments, and mixed ups will be cleared before the actual commencement of the service. The Graphic says national service has come to stay and it is a good way of inculcating into the youth a sense of responsibility and independence as well as experience in the management of their own resources. The paper to this end encourages personnel to accept wherever they are posted to with all humility since it is service to the nation. 

The Ghanaian Times discusses the link between uncertified electricians and fire outbreaks. It says it is mandatory for every electrician to be certified by the Energy Commission in order to ensure their credibility. However, the paper says this is not the case as many of them are not certified and what makes it worse is that individuals and companies who employ their services do not ask for their certificates. The Times believes this is a contributory factor to the frequent fire outbreaks as most of the jobs are done by unprofessionals. The Paper calls for intensive public education by the Energy Commission as many are not aware of the situation.

The Daily Heritage says the catchphrase "Agriculture is the backbone of Ghana's economy" has always been on the lips of major political players but the commitment to overhaul the sector has been abysmal. It describes as pitiable the situation where Ghana imports almost everything including rice and tooth pick when she is blessed with so much land and raw materials.
