ECG committed to reimbursing overbilled customers

Senior PRO of ECG, Eric Asante says the company is committed to reimbursing all customers who were affected by the over billing system. 

He said reimbursement will be in the form of units which will be credited to the accounts of customers who were overcharged for the period. 

In an interview with Radio Ghana’s Abraham Donkor, Mr Asante confirmed that ECG has rendered an apology to the public on its abnormal billing system.

Meanwhile, an Energy Expert, Kwame Jantuah says ECG should have come out earlier to apologize to the public.

He advised them to put in measures to prevent future occurrences. 

He however urged Government to reduce taxes on ECG's billing system. 

Mr Jantuah was reacting to ECG's apology on some errors by the company which resulted in over-billing of some customers.
